Our new report documents how the federal government’s immigration raids have triggered a rapidly growing economic and housing crisis across Los Angeles County.
The Rent Brigade found that immigrant tenants have lost more than 60% of their income since June, with nearly one-third already experiencing rent debt and 95% spending nearly their entire monthly income on rent, leaving little left over for food and other essentials.
